High School: Biology & Genetics of the Eye

This program can be used by a high school health or science teacher without an outside speaker coming to your school. Beginning with a video showing how the eye works, this program includes fun truth or myth challenges as well as interactive in-class activities. It highlights eye anatomy, genetics, eye safety in the lab, disorders & diseases of the eyes, common misconceptions of the eyes, and more. Segments of this program can be tailored to your classroom by choosing to focus on either biology or health. This program includes a video, script for a teacher to follow, take-home materials, easy instructions for lab activities, and it also meets Ohio’s New Learning Standards.
