It is a rare opportunity that we get to be part of a full day clinic, and it was so much fun! We were involved with helping the students select their frames, and that was a real joy. Thankfully, we have a variety of frames to choose from because their personalities really came through when they started trying on glasses and posing in front of the mirror! Kids are a treat!
We were impressed with how well our volunteer optometrists work with elementary students, led by Dr. Tracey Needham. Dr. Lauren Grillot and Dr. Brian Dietz kept the exams going while Dr. Andrea Dietz and Dr. Amber Lange helped with pre-exam duties. They certainly have a way of making the kids feel at ease. Any jitters the kids had seemed to disappear as the room was a calm, quiet place with kind and helpful adults who clearly were there to help.
Thank you to Sidney Schools for hosting the iSee Ohio clinic and to the volunteer ODs who made the clinic possible!
