Kids Corner - NIH's Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group Needs Your Help!

The NIH's Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG) is working to create an amblyopia treatment decision resource (think: amblyopia app for non-peds specialists) to help comprehensive eye care providers treat children with amblyopia or possible amblyopia using the most up-to-date evidence. 

The goals of this amblyopia treatment decision resource project are to: 

• Provide support and education to eyecare practitioners: 

• In areas where access to pediatric eye care is limited 

• Increase confidence in treating children with amblyopia 

• Help clarify times when further workup or referral to a pediatric eyecare or other specialists may be considered 

• Improve visual outcomes for patients with amblyopia
